Canada Geese On The Move!!!!!

well so far the 1st group of migrating canada's are in Wisconsin and northern Iowa. I have some buddies who live in northern Iowa and they are hammering the honkers up there. most of the rufuges in wisconsin are loaded with honkers and alot of lessers. this is lookin like a great migration so far. hopefully the geese keep coming down at the speed they are. hunting in canada this year was good for ducks but not so good for the geese. alberta was the only places big numbers of geese were killed. so be lookin for the numbers of geese in your area to increase these next couple of weeks.

Same here in central Ohio. Geese are everywhere right now, but the ducks have disappeared. Last weekend was youth weekend and we only saw a few ducks while hunting two different lakes but there wasn't any shortage of honkers. This cold front should keep them coming but our opener isn't until the 21st.

thanks for the info. im going up north for the north duck opener this weekend with killer miller, and looks like we will be shooting some geese to. yyyyyeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

been workin down in edwardsville for about the last week or so and business is deffinately pickin up down there as well. saw over a 100 by 9am today.....wonder if the boss would mind me shootin geese from a machine hmmmmmm :D

there's been migrators in wi for a while now. the temps are in the 30's this week and we got snow flurrys today. gettin permission on a field tonight with about 500 geese and around 1000 mallards. the huntin has been pretty solid lately.

wooziegoose, my dad has been working in green bay for like a year and he said its pretty damn cold up there. he said its been raining and flurryen quit a bit.

yeah, its been good fowlin weather. the ditch by my work has a thin layer of ice on it right now. i got home at 3:00 and about 300 honkers flew over my house. the high for the rest of the week is like 38 degrees.
