Hey Guys-
I gotta hunting place on the Eastern Shore in Dorchester County with three ponds and a field and it is surrounded by a thick stand of pines. I have always had a problem with echoing hunting the impoundment. Looking for a new duck call that can go loud when I hunt the river but also has a good low end for hunting my ponds. Any suggestions?

I guess it depends on how loud you wanna be.....if you need a good amount of volume to couple the good low end duck, I would recommend the New Dead Meat Mallard. This new call is duck from top to bottom with great controllable volume.....oh ya....call will not ring!! Its a killin machine, not a comp call....you need ring, I would suggest a Strait Meat Mallard
If you want something that is not going to be quite as loud as the Dead Meat, go with the Timber Rattler in a hedge/acrylic combo, or a all acrylic would do the job as well. This call is real ducky, nasal, raspy, what ever you need it to be.....just ain't gonna be as loud as the DM.
If you don't wanna spend the $125 out of the shoots, buy a wood/poly combo in the Legend. I love this call, never leaves the duck lanyard....takes a touch more air to blow, but I love it.....
Hope this helps, let us know if you need anything else....

Double reed timber rattler. Fairly loud with great low end, very ducky call.

I think Nick summed it up perfectly. The new DMM is the ticket for ducks this season.

i feel that the call that you need is the Timber Rattler double reed. It can get real loud but it has a great low end with an awesome feed call. This call is real ducky and raspy. Hope this helps.
