So I woke up early today to head out and get some hunting in, and what do I find when I get out to my truck... It had been broken into. The (name which will not be used) stole my gun, all my cds, and my jacket and a couple sweatshirts. They Obviously weren't hunters because they left my calls, which at first I thought they stole, waders, and my decoys. I think that they saw my cd case and upon rumaging through behind my seats they found my hidden gun. What a crappy way to wake up. So word to the wise don't try and save yourself time by packing up the night before. Oh yeah I just got back from the store and bought a Benili Super Nova so that I can get some hunting in this weekend.

That does suck!....A word to the wise also...If you guys don't already own a quality gun safe you should really consider investing in one. My house was broke into and robbed about 5 years ago and they took everything they could get their worthless hands ons EXCEPT my guns!...I put all my valuables in there...guns...ammo...lanyard..important papers! From the the way my safe looked after the robbery it looks like they worked on it for a while before giving up! I don't have a vast gun collection..but if you start adding it up doesnt take long to realize how much it would be to replace everything not to mention that some things you cant replace! OK I'm done preachin!

That truely suck. I have had guns stolen from me twice. Once during the season, and once the night before opener. I know how it feels. I feel for ya.
Go get some birds, and make every shot count.....like your shooting the pricks that stole your stuff!

Sorry to hear about that, another pointer for everyone make sure you have your serial numbers for each gun written down somewhere it will help the cops tremendously i.e. I've seen search warrants served for drugs or something and we have come up with stolen guns from five years ago, which we would have never known were stolen but the serial number was in the system.

Sorry to hear that brother. But I agree that a gun safe would be a good idea. My uncle jsut bought a monster gun safe. I think he said it weights 700 pounds!! He has a ton of guns, several cases of shells, all calls and band-filled lanyards, and other misc. things in it. Its pretty sweet to tell you the truth.

Thats sucks man, I dont know what i would do if that happened to me, I'd be hunting alright. I just went to my truck and took my beretta and mathews out of it even though its parked in the garage. I always load my truck the night before i got hunting, thus its pretty much in my truck all the time.
Theres not much respect on this earth anymore. I hope you find who did it.
Also for you guys that dont write down serial #s The sporting goods store that i used to work at, had a pistol come back last year that was found somewhere, The store had reported it stolen in 1968! A colt Revolver.
