I have a dozen GHG shells, and hunt by myself, so only one man calling. geese do fly by but veer out around and just look. what should i do to be able to kill geese outta this field? thanks alot

not sure where your hunting if they get a lot of pressure or not but just make sure your concealment is A+ for sure and i would try not calling at all, that generally helps late in the season after they've seen a lot of hunting pressure

im not a pro staffer by any means but i would flag to get their attention and get em comin and if they start veering off but dont flag within 100-150 yards if theyre comin straight in and especially if your not in a blind to give you away

I killed geese consistently year after year in college using a dozen very low quality shells, a flag, and either burlap or a white bed sheet to hide under if there was snow.

I would just set the dozen decoys up, hide as much as possible, and hit the call and flag to get their attention. Anymore there are guys running such HUGE spreads, that I think a dozen can be very effective to get some weary birds to at least come by at a shootable distance if not decoy right in. Unless you have an ample amount of snow to conceal yourself in, I would definitely consider hiding outside of the decoys a good distance, especially if you aren't going to be calling much. That way when you flag at them from a distance they won't know the difference and when they come in they will be focused on the 12 decoys and not you.

If it is a corn field covered with snow, I would even try to kick up some cobs that might be out there still, that yellow will really pop at a distance to those geese. Some fake ears of corn from a Craft store could really do a number I bet too to get their attention.
