Hey Guys-
I got callin geese 2.0 and love it, my calling improved the first night I had it (Ithink so anyway:D ). Jeff mentioned the HPH is deeper than the SMH. I was thinkin about gettin a Meatcutter because I like that deeper sound for huntin old shore geese. Could I get that with the HPH and still have the speed and versatility of a short reed or would yall suggest gettin a flute ?

The HPH is a short reed call with a lot of versatility...I have two...one tuned high and one tuned really low...the HPH is my go to call in just about every situation. I even use one on stage - when I venture in that direction. The HPH has a great high end crack, but can also low and nasty on the murmurs and finish work.
Either call will do you right for what you want....you just need to decide whether you want a short reed or a flute.

Thanks for the reply Mark. Ive been blowin a flute for like 10 years since I started goose hunting but Im trying to switch over and learn to blow a short reed now. If I bought a HPH from the shop would they tune it low end for me? . . . because I am not overly confident in my tuning abilities yet
thanks again man

They'll tune it however you want it brother....just make sure, instead of using the website store, you call the order in and request the call be tuned the way you want it. No problem!!!! Depending on who is there tuning calls, you might even be able to have them blow the call over the phone to make sure it is getting the tone you are looking for!!!!
Let me know if I can help in anyway!!!!
I'll stand behind mark on this one. the hph is a great call. I like the fact it is louder than my market hunter, but still has a real goosey bottom.

Thanks Guys-
As soon as I got the money saved up I'll be calling the shop, unless yall will be selling calls at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton in November they I may come by and buy one there . . .
