Hi guys,

I bought a DMM awhile ago in single reed. I like it alot but i think i would like it even better if it was a double reed. Do i need to order a new insert or can i just buy another reed and put it in?

Also, i have a SMH that ive had for a couple of years. Its a wood. I blow it alot and love the sound of it. The guts came out in the metal band thats in the insert, 3 or so months ago. I took it to cabelas in KC when Prostaff was there, they superglued it back in and everything was better. But now ive noticed a crack in the wood. My best guess was that with it always soaking up moisture then drying out and then soaking and drying etc, etc the stress on it made it crack. Is this normal and what should i do to get it fixed. Im guessing send it in.

Thanks guys for any Answers ,

Send the SMH to the shop they will fix it up.

As with the DMM all you need to do is call the shop 1-866-83-GEESE and order a double reed set. It comes with the two reeds and a saniprene wedge that is made for the double reed. Hold on to your other wedge and reed you may want to switch back eventually.

Great advice on ordering the extra reed set. once you get it it is real easy to switch just use the back of your knife to pop out the old saniprene wedge the reed wll fall out, put the new reeds in the larger on bottom, the top one dimple down and then put the new wedge in and you should be good to go. When you call to order the new reed set ask them about the SMH.
