Hey I was just wondering if any of you guys have shot one before? They say they are found in the southern states but I just shot one up here in Ontario Canada. Thought it looked a little different when I got it back to the blind but didn't think to much about it just thought it was a hen crossed with something becuase of its yellow bill and green on the wings insted of the blue. Are they common down in the states?

Isn't a Mexican mallard just a mottled duck? Just curious.

No both the drake and the hen look like a hen mallard but with a yellow bill and green wings, I've read that they are a different species of mallard.

I thought the Mexican Mallards had a more greenish bill. I've only seen pictures of them though.
