View Full Version : New Trick, F.A. Flapper I made,

Incase you missed it on Flocknockers here is a few pics of my homemade F.A. Flapper. Simply cutout the wings from another Fullbody and I had some cabinet hinges, used them and a few eyebolts along with 3/16 bolts, a few washers and some wood screws.

thats an awesome idea, have you field tested it yet, how good does it werk....curious

Works well enough that I've already made another and tomorrow will make another. The plan is to have one on eachside of the spread and to let the kids sit on eachside and pull the flappers there when told, then acouple setup behind the blinds and they will be used for closeup work by us. I'll probably have a hardtime callin as the kids get to giggling and make me laugh everytime they say watch me make the geese fly daddy. :lol: :lol:

haha thats awesome, do you have a spring or something that pulls them back into place?? i mean like to refold the wings....just curious, i might have missed it in you list of supplies

I'm using string from the fullbody to the wings and the string is only so long as to help gravity pull the wings back down, I've been contemplating a spring for the next one as an experiment. Oh one more thing look at the tail in the pic and you'll see a 3/16" stake to hold the deke in place.

Nice i was just figuring you could flap them faster if it had a spring, lol if you use that idea, get it copywrited lol and make sure add me as help in design lol, j-k, just an idea tho
