We have a snow storm comming in early Friday AM. Me being the guy I am I told all my employees to take the day off.

This storm is going to move in around 4am do you think it is worth going out for a few hours in the am? Prediction is for 12" and 7-10mph wind.

i've killed alot of ducks in snowstorms, i'd give it a try as long as you can get yourself out. Usually on a day like that you're done early either limited out or nothings moving.

Man, one of the most memorable hunts I have ever had was in a blizzard.

Big flakes, visibility was only 20 yards at times, constant calling so birds could locate us. We had flocks of mallards dumping perfectly into the decoys, it was a phenomenal water hunt.

You wouldn't see them, but would hear them up high over head, hit them with the call, the would drop, circle and dump, big fat birds.

I would say definitely go out.

We had a storm hit one afternoon that put down like 4" in an hour and we just thought we'd give it a try.

We were done in 20 minutes with 13 greenies and a dumb diver, the black and white kinds (he was an accident)

Keep the noise and hit the warm water springs. Can't hurt to at least try.

Took a limit of ducks in short order, then while packing up I heard some geese so I hung tight to a tree. They landed about 100 yards down from me. Then a client calls me so for some reason I answer it and explain I am busy. Then I here the boys getting there motors reved to take flight. Wouldn't you know it they were moving low to get over a beaver dam. I could see there leather helmets and oxygen masks hanging laughing my azz off. I started with the left rear bird and KO 3 moving up the the line.

Give a little call and they turn back to examine there fallen buds but needless to say I had other plans. A nice hot Hevi-shot enema did in 2 more to limit and called it a day. That 20ga just smokes em with 6shot 1oz load.
