After reading the DMM post and alot of guys talking about the sticking problems associated with duck calls I'll throw another trick out there.

My favorite call is a single reed SMM and yes it does stick occasionally with all the soda and coffee I drink while hunting. Inorder to keep this from happening there is one thing I've learned. After a volley of shots while the dog is doing his job, I'll blow an open hand greeting call or highball into the call and place it inside my coat. Thats it and my call nolonger sticks if I do this eachtime I work birds.... :) :)

I've found I spit more when doing a Highball but especially when doing the feed chuckle and by opening the call backup right away after the shots are fired it helps ALOT. Hope this helps you guys in the field.

Best thing working for me right now is taking it apart, blowing out inbetween the reeds, blowing out the barrel and putting it in my waders. I tried that this morning, and it worked great. Not much flying though.
