Obviously the SMH is the original Foiles goose call and the Showtime is a competition call, but what are the actual differences between the newer calls like the HPH, the MH, and the MG.

Not much really. Each one has its own sound. Just a different sounding goose. Some people say that someof the calls are easier and faster to blow, but that can depend on how they are tuned. I can make my SMH extreamly hard to blow or so easy that you dont even have to think about cluckin because it will just do it.

I agree with Iowa, the SMH is really easy to Tune, and is very versitile, the MH is a little louder, and faster, the MG is a polly so its really high, and really fast, The ST is obviously a meat or a contest call i dont own one yet ( but i will soon ) but because of the wide bore on the insert its REALLY loud, Course the MC flute, is very deep and difficult to blow, the HPH is similar to the showtime, but its a Threaded insert, and its a fast call.......other than their suttle differences they all have won or will win shows, and they ALL will bring in geese....just my $.02

The SMH is still my favorite, like it has been said before the MH is a bit louder and maybe a bit faster depending on tuning, the HPH is a great all around call with excellent volume, I keep it on my duck lanyard for when we are primarily hunting ducks and some geese might wonder in. The cackler is much higher pitched, crazy fast, and loud as all get out. The Showtime is the hot new call that is equally at home on stage or in the field. The MC flute is your old gander call, very deep, mellow and sounds unbelievable, it blows different than a short reed, but if you are an experienced flute caller, you will love the MC. And like it has been said the MG is the Poly call, the best on the market in my opinion. It will do everything an acryllic will, just not as crisp and clean, but it does have a nice little buzz to it. All the calls can be tuned to sound prettty much how you like them or to suit your particular style of blowing a call. Like it has been said many times before, just about everyone starts off with the intentions of getting just one, but ends up with a lanyard full of each of them  They are the best out their, and you will love which ever one you pick.

I gotta agree with Max4, I had a zink polycarb for a while, never liked the sound of it. I just a blue/clear SMH about a month ago and I love it. I've already bought a MC flute for my buddy(im gonna have a real hard time giving it to him when it comes), and Im saving up to get an HPH and DMM. These calls are awesome and addicting. If I had the money I'd have one of each in the mail right now

Geese: Started with a chead poly short reed. Although I am comparing an acrylic to poly, the Foiles SMH was easier to blow, easier to blow faster and sounded incredible.

Duck: I own several RNTs and recently purchased a DMM. Very "ducky"! I even used it on open water on the Big Horn river in Montana. No problems.

Besides the sound, the difference I like the most is the large barrel. The RNT hurts my mouth after hours of use where the DMM is very comfortable. So much so that there is a RNT Short Barrel and Original about to be on Ebay because I just purchased a SMM to compliment the DMM.
