I just ordered 4 doz of these and was wondering if anyone has used them yet. Our season doesnt open till after thanksgiving and hoping these add some great motion to my spread.

What kind of decoys are you putting them in? I have 1 dz GHG Prograde canadas and 8 of them have the motion system in them(they come with them) and they look great. After you set up your decoys and the sun comes up, if you have time, walk out about 50-100 yds and look at the spread. The movement in the decoys is phenominal.

Mostly im putting them in last years GHG Life Size Series. Sportsmans was having a huge sale on them and we bought 4 doz. I do have 2 doz Pro grade. Im hoping the motion system will give me the same great results as the Pro Grades do. They look and move about the same. I am worried about putting the stakes into frozen ground, and the fact that they almost look like shells on motion stakes. Do you think that ill notice much of a difference. The thing im really looking forward to is that ill have almost 80% of my spread on motion.

this is a great topic, i went on a guided snow goose hunt in my hometown last year, and we put out about 500 GHG full body Snow decoys, and they all had realmotion stakes, you couldnt even believe that they were decoys if you drove by the field it looked like a flock of snow geese, i was totally amazed , there was only like a 5 mph breeze and it was a bright sunny day, from the road it looked so real, and do they werk, haha how 13 people limited out on snow geese, by 9:30 3 hours of hunting 195 birds on the ground, i ll post a pic of the Flock we were knockin that day, its hard to see but you will get the idea...

Wow that looks like a great hunt. Where were you at. They do look so good when they move. They seem to just hover and bounce back and forth just like real geese when they are feeding. I hope they pay off, im sure ill have nothing to worry about. Anyone bought the new kits that GHG came out with.

We bought a few dozen for our Life Size series decoys. We don't have them put together yet because the kits came without the nuts for the bolts. I'm not sure of the nut size off the top of my head, but we have not been able to find the correct size at any store. We have been trying to get Avery to send some to us but we are still waiting for a reply. Anyone else have this problem?

I had a box of 2 dozen. 18 of them had the nuts pre set. the other 6 did not. I did not wait for avery. I went to the hardware store and picked up new bolts and matching nuts to go with.

Maulers INC., You will be very happy with what you will see.Motion in a spread makes a big difference.I like putting most of my motion decs in
the KILL ZONE.Makes them commit a little better. wish you luck.

Any of you guys know where you can buy the stands instead of the stakes. I can't seem to find them anywhere, or do the stands just come with the decoys.
thanks,
Jordan

At this time stands are only available with the decoys and are not sold separately. Your best bet is EBAY. I saw some on there a while back.

Ill put my $.02 bout the stakes. It has given me the same motion as the bases but i am really wondering how much of a punishment they will be able to take, ie..frozen ground, repeated use. If I could get my hand on the bases seperately i would be all over that. I will say the cones in the progrades are a much better design.

If you are worried about getting the stakes in the ground when it is frozen make a "punch", I had the local welding shop here take a 3.5' piece of metal tube and shape it as best they could to match my stakes and then they put a cross piece on it about 16-18" from the bottom. If I am hunting on frozen ground I "pre-punch" the holes for the stakes with this and they slide right in!
Hope this helps
