I was thinking about getting another foiles goose call that is a little higher pitched, i already have the SMH, and that takes care of the low end pretty good. I was going to get the cackler around christmas time but i noticed that cabelas is having a sale on their MH's and i know they are higher pitched and i liked they way they sound because i blew one at cabelas. I have never blowen a SMC just heard the sound file, im figuring if i like all of the foiles goose calls i have blowen i will like the rest. Since cabelas or anywhere around dosent sell them and i can compare them, what are your thoughts on this delima of mine? Lets hear all opinions...

hey, i have blow the MH but never the cackler. I think the best thing for you to do would be to go somewhere that you can blow both the calls. because both of them will be higher pitched, it really comes down to which one you would prefer. so i would say go somewhere where you can blow them both and you can hear how both of them sound. thats what i would do.

Redlegg,
Like you said, the MH is going to be Higer pitched than the SMH, and is a great goose call. It is very responsive, great goose, top and bottom, loud, and easy blowing. The cackler is going to be a bit more high pitched than the MH, and because of the short barrell, it is a fast call, loud for a little call. And the MC is awesome, I love blowing that call, you get sounds out of that call that cannot be duplicated on the short reed.
So I guess it is up to you as to how high pitched you are looking for, both will compliment your SMH well, but its up to you. I would say the MH is going to be a bit more versatile than the Cackler, but both are awesome.....let us know if you need anything else....
