Took My little Brother to our old stomping grounds...

My little brother is home for the holidays so I took him out to Grassy Lake Hunting Club yesturday. We grew up bird hunting down there and spent many great days in those pits. We went every season from the time we were about 9 years old up until College. It was an awsome day and a great hunt, Its always makes the hunts better when you can spend them with friends and family...

There are tens of THOUSANDS of birds down right now (alot specs and snows too) but they are mostly nocternal due to the weather. As soon as we get some weather down there it will be some fast shooting....

HEY no HENS!!!! Way to go!!! My hunt yesterday was a bust :-( Any word on the geese in Marion? It is to get cold out starting tommarow so maybe the cold weather will make this weekend awesome!!!

We had 2 hens land in the dekes, but I had geese workin so I spared their lives ;)

It was dark both times I passed marion, so no report there. But I have seen so TONS of geese around here.
They are all sticking around or heading north. Its sopposed to be 65 today, then drop into the upper teens tonight. It should be great this weekend.

My fields are loaded with geese in springfield. The only problem is its so muddy. Hope we get a freeze to make some solid ground. Got a feeling its gonna be a muddy mess. O well i am home on leave..
