what do they do the over the decoys one do. do they make your shot spread out better or tighter

They milled the short range choke down a bit which lets more of the wad hang out and spreads the pattern out so you dont blow up your birds at those close yardages.

I have said it before and I will still sound like a broken record, try your factory chokes first. A cut choke is a choke no matter who made it or has there label on it. You need to pattern you load and choke, Steel or Hevei-shot is denser so your going to need an open choke reguardless.
