Good luck Smoke old buddy, and every one else here in Illinois, I sadly am on duty today, so I won't be out until monday, Got some family business and mounting the new Merc on the boat tomorrow. Will definately get after them on Monday. Let us know how the opener goes for everyone.

well guys just got back from the blind and between 4 of us we ended up with 16. had high kill on the lake for the morning. 1 honker killed on the whole lake and unfortunately not by us. might get out tomorrow again not sure how the blind situation will play out.

got out again this morning and boy was it dead. everyone around us killed ducks but we only ended up with 3 it was pathetic it was like nothin wanted to work us. hopefully next weekend will go better.

Finally got out this morning, Had a few ducks try to work us but nothing came in to gun range, but gees on the other hand. I had 2 guys with me and we killed 4 geese by 6:45 this morning. Had one single come in, dropped him, didn't have a dog with us so I grab the boat to get him , and while I was getting the boat, had a group of four drop in maple leafing to get in and the other two guys got 3 of the four. We pulled out at about 10 am started getting real windy and a pretty good chop. I will post some pics later.

It was a alright opener with 2 woodies and 3 ringnecks, and on sunday 4 ringnecks and 4 mallards bettween 2 guys. All and all not a bad opener.

Had a pretty good morning today, we ended up with a full 4 man limit of 24 birds. Had 21 by 7:00.

9 mallards
1 gadwall
6 teal
1 shovler
4 woodies
1 bufflehead
2 ruddies

I'm pretty proud of the 2 ruddies, killed them both with one shot!!

so thats where all the mallards have been i hadnt seen anything but hens at fuller. heard a couple greenheads were killed the other day there guess ill find out saturday.
