im cold today i went hunting and i dropped my sbe2 in the water 8ft of water
but i was not going to lose my gun and my dad said ''WHAT ARE YOU DOING'' i said that gun is my life and i jumped in naked and got my gun i put all my clothes back on warned up and i never drain the water out but i shot a greenhead with it the same DAY!!!!! and the lord liked that i save a benelli and the greenhead was banded :D so im cleaning my benelli right now :D :D :D

we have talked about putting a magnet tied to a rope and leaving it in the boat for this exact same thing. I would have done a swan dive in if any of my guns would have dunked!

Opening day I went completely under and the only thing that stayed above water was my hand that had my SBE 2 in it :D . On top of that had I drowned my sister would had been PISSED because it was her wedding day and I was a groomsman in the wedding HA HA!!!

I would have left it, chuckled a little and bought a differant brand of gun....
Probably would have saved my Ex before a Benelli. :lol:

+ 1 on the magnet...This happened to my father once, although it was in September goose season and the water wasn't too bad yet.
But since then, we bought a few magnet strong enough to lift a gun out of snags and such, and I've used in twice in about 10 years.
That $ 7.95 for a magnet at Ace hardware and a 30 foot pc of rope is alot cheaper than a new gun!

That's wild, isn't that exactly what you told me a couple months ago and was why you couldn't buy a call you said you wanted - had just lost your Benelli in 8 feet of water.
Guess the new one was worth diving for...

no the numbers bounce up and down at cabelas the had a dmm in the low 2000's and then one in the high 3000's

yeah but he is saying that the call maker has not gottem that high up yet, and cabelas buys calls from foiles and keeps them in their warehouse and when a store runs out they ship them to stores, instead of getting them directly from the shop

I am not a big Fan of the Benelli SBE2 thoe I do own one right now. I just cant see how they are so much $$$. But anyways I would had maybe went in after it...........hate to see $1600 sit on the bottom of the lake!
