How would you like to live in eastern Canada. The city and surrounding area I live in has a population of 150,000 and we have one sporting goods store who only carries 5-10 guns. The closest store with any stock is 2 hours away. after that you have to Mail order. Before Canadian Gun Control every corner store sold shells and a few hunting supplies. Now you can't even buy shells. Our great Liberal government when they were in power Legislated all the small businesses right out of all gun supplies. Me VENTING sorry!

About 2 weeks ago they started the sale, I picked up some cases of shells, Filson jacket, Columbia Yazoo hat, full bodies that I didn't need and a few RNT calls. It was the only real waterfowl shop on eastcoast. You guys that have never been in there you don't know what you missed. It was like Macks PW in less than 2000 square feet. I am talking about being stuffed to the gills with Waterfowl gear.

Before I first bought my place down there I had stopped in there when I used a guide a few times. I told Kay what I was looking for and a few days later I had a call from a friend of hers. I ended up buying an old fish hatchery that was just the perfect setting for waterfowl and fox trapping. That was 18 years ago when Snow's decoyed easy. When ever I needed anything done down there I would give Kay a call and she would set me up. From someone doing concrete work building Pits to having someone plant food plots and making sure they were flooded.

Your not kiddin, to the gills just barely describes it, with ten people in that store the aisles are crowded.

Im gonna miss bein able to find stuff that chesapeake diesel isnt gonna have, like stuff other than zink/sean mann calls, and avery stuff.

The onlything that is true with the first post is that the property is being sold. not sold as of yet but being sold. Yes the future of the store is questionable but right now the family needs the inventory sold down to settle the estate. Thats it.

Man I hope not, I bought my first non-resident license there at the age of 12. Floyd price helped me blowing a duck call when I was 10. The eastern shore would certainly lose a little luster if that place goes away. I remember walking in there the first time with my Dad like it was yesterday. Greg keep me posted on what the deal is down there....
