So I've killed the most geese and significant ducks (not divers) that I have ever taken in a season and the band count is still a big fat ZERO!!
Oh well, there's still a few days left to go until the closer. I'm trying to get this friday off so that we can send the season out in style 8)
Anyways.....we went out on saturday back to the spot that we tore it up a couple weeks ago and we weren't disappointed.
Right when we got to the river to cross we had a guy go down, over his head, in the freezing cold river so back to the truck he went. As I was carrying his decoy bag across the river with the water up to my belly button I tripped and fell down to my collarbone and my waders filled up to my waist with that same frigid h2O.. I aint a puss though and I toughed it out.
We set up in a field that had about 600 last weekend and waited, only to see two consecutive flocks of 200+ land in the river a hundred yards north of us. We quickly decided to move to hunt over water and killed 19 greenies, hen and a drake pintail. We only killed six geese but if the other guys could shoot  we would have had twelve. My first pinny so I was still tickled. I love those days when you could kill a hundred if you didn't have to worry about those pesky hens and pesky limits.

Sorry about the last pic. I had my buddy email it so it's little.
