Anyone got any tips on shining up the the band around the Foiles calls. Taking out light scratches, etc.

I use a real light piece of steel wool or a SOS pad. Then to shine it up I use Flitz.

I kinda like to leave 'em worn. Gives that well used look and reminds you of good hunts you had.

My wife used the same polish she uses on my cufflinks she bought me from freaking Tiffany's and literally 3 minutes with this sterling silver polish and a paper towel and it is like new.

I prefer to leave my bands dull during the season, but I'll give everything a mild tuning and polishing at the end of the year. 3M Aluminum Mag Polish or any other Mag Wheel polish will work just fine

Unless you display them, why would you want them to shine?

After a long season of punishment - every piece of my equipment needs a little tlc - so that is one thing I do after the season is over, however by the time the following season rolls around, I tend to practice quite a bit and most of the shine has gone away

dont use an SOS pad... all that will do is scratch it up...just take Mother aluminum polish and put it on by finger... rub it in good with pressure from index finger and thumb... then just wipe off with soft rag... thats what we do everyday in the shop... sean~~
