what do all you guys prefer- acrylic,wood - acrylic and wood? What the ups and downs and tone and ease difference?

i like acrylic for quackers double reed timbre rattler / cocobolo strait meat honker for ganders,wood seems to have a richer tone than acrylic just my .02 worth

I think it's all in your preference. I have all acrylic SMM, Cocobola/acrylic TR, acrylic MH and burnt hedge/acrylic SMH, the acrylic in my opinion has a more crisp, clear sound. I found lately i do much better with the wood/acrylic calls. Have more rich nasely sound. Everyone uses calls different and produce different sounds. just my opinion.

i like the look of the acrylic more than the wood. sound? i cant really tell. all your own prefrence

I like my acrylic SMH for getting their attention and high wind days. I just got my HPH in burnt hedge, and love it for water and when they're in close. Very goosy. Just my $.02

depends on situation and type of hunting. I primarily use acryllic because it sounds great and is extremely durable, I also like the mellow sound you get from wood, it is hard to beat for finishing birds. All that said, I use Acryllic almost 100% of the time.
