I am looking at buying a 2003 Land Rover Freelander. 78k miles in mint shape for $9500. What do you think? Goods and bads

I think you'd be paying well over book and could actually get a decent vehicle for $10grand.

I was also looking at a VW Passatt. Can you narrow it down some when you say a decent one for 10k. that could mean a million things???

Well, you're kind of all over the board with what you're looking for already - one's a 4 door front wheel drive sedan, the other a fairly capable soccer momish suv/crossover.

Whatya really looking for in a vehicle?

First pick is the Land Rover. If I was ging to get any car it would be the passat

Either one you're doomed............ The Passats are pretty much a 4 wheeled electrical problem.... The Land Rover is an over priced box, that will nickel and dime you to death.
