New Caller

Hey guys not much experience calling, but wanting to upgrade to a better call and willing to put the time in to learn, plus cd and dvd training. I like the sounds of the SMH and BGB Fatboy, from Big Sean on youtube vids. Which call would you guys recommend to start with and should I look at acrylic or wood?

SMH, acrylic has a sharper crack where as wood is more mellow. Either call is a good choice if you have a place to try them out, see which one fits you best.

Definitely SMH, I'd also recommend callin geese 2.0, if you don't want to spend new price on a call you can try finding a used one in the yard sale.

how far are you from Paducah!?!? they have a gander mountain there and they are pretty big into waterfowl calls...if i was you id go with a SMH or HPH in acrylic but thats me and thats what i started on and as far as a DVD goes...Bad Grammer all the way...seen them all and this is the best by far

They mean bad grammmar, when you spell it correctly it changes to advice because...... nevermind,

I would also reccomend bg, it helped me, a little more so than callin geese did.
