PA Pymatuning Zone limit

Here is a couple of pics from this mornings hunt.....took a friend on his first goose hunt ....about 7:15 three came in good and we took all three...then at about 8:00 had a huge flock of about 75 birds just about cover us up...took three more out including the collar....perfect first hunt for our buddy!

No whining here brother....just bustin' Scott's ballz!!!

As for collars...I have shot one and only seen two or three others.

Mr. Scott hunts what is affectionately known as "BAND LAND" or "COLLAR COUNTRY" around these parts!!! Limits are low....band hunts are slow, but PRODUCTIVE as you see!!!!

Gimme a call Scott....got a line on a number of birds for the RP Zone opener if you are interested!!!! 5 bird limit....

Also, may have a decent duck lined up depending on the weather if you're up to pounding some quackers!!!!

HEY where are you hunting i thought PAs honker Season doesnt start till the 15th, or was that resident season ?? or is someone doin something they arent supposed to be doin huh ?? just Curious

They get a head start up in the NW corner. The AP and RP zones open on the 15th our state is split into zones.

The zone Scott is hunting is the Pymatuning Zone....it is the only zone open to Goose hunting in PA right now. The SJBP zone opens on 11/13 and teh RP Zone opens on 11/15. Those three zones are the zones we primarily hunt in NW PA.

No one is doing anything illegal brother.....

My bad Mark I should have worded that better buddy. Pymatuning zone opened on 10/28/06, I should have gave the dates and zones as well. Hope you guys are doing well up there.

OHHHHHHHHHHH lol ok i was confused for a second, cause im supposed to hunt with some buddies on the 15th and they were sayin that was PAs opener, but we hunt Near Kennet, PA, right on the DE border, actually the State line cuts the Estate we hunt in Half, so we hunt PA in the morning in our layouts, and then go to the other side of the Estate prolly not a 1/2 mile and hunt DE in the evening out of our pit....so thats why i was askin but i guess we are in the lower zone....

md's late season dont open til til the 15th. im gonna go see the boys at waterfowl weekend in Easton tommorrow though and get ready for next Wednesday

we had a 8 day season for geese and ducks at the begining of october, then ducks just opened again on the 3rd on Nov, our goose season opens the 23th of Nov and goes till the 3rd weekend in Feb. The geese arent even really here yet so it could be worse. they could be all around and we could not be able to hunt. When does your season close.
