I bought 2 dozen of them when they 1st came out which I still have. The older still had problems with the cones where the stakes would sit. The cones would break off inside the decoys. They have since fixed that. The movement system on the HC sucks with bungee cord legs. Also you have to be alot more careful loading and unloading decoys so that you don't break off the beaks. I don't know what the new HC are going to be like. If your going to spend the money on field mallard decoys get GHG the motion system is alot better, more durable, paint has been pretty good on the 5 dozen I got. hope this helps you out.

Thanks guys, Rogers had resters on sale 49.99 for a half dozen. Just wondering if they were worth it.

Guys I'm not sure what you've been hearing, but the paint does not chip off on the new hardcores. There is a video up that a fellow hunter made where he puts a new HC goose decoy through some tough testing and the paint is TOUGH. The heads, well that's another story...

I got the new Hardcore goose decoys and a couple have a little paint chipped off....is there a 5 year paint warranty like people have said?

I was wondering about the FB mallard decoys, not the geese.

Yes I know.... they're still hardcores and I was questioning the 5 year paint warranty if they were paint chipping happening.........

I bought 3 dozen of the resters / sleeper mallards...there is absolutely NO paint adhesion issues whatsoever. They are much darker than a GHG scheme, and they are shiny. I like the darker scheme, it is by far more realistic. The shine problem can be eliminated by krylon flat clear or matte clear acrylic topcoat. It's a great buy, they are great decoys. You don't need to worry about motion because resting / sleeping ducks don't move much anyway. The motion system is by far superior in the ghg's, but again they are much pricier, and in my opinion the wind has to be just right to make any of them realistic.
