Ok, so thursday night, I drive out to this marsh that my dad and a few other guys lease to hunt until sundown. I go to do the same thing friday night, only friday, I get out there, and to my surprise, all the decoys that were on the water were missing! Closer inspection revealed that 75-100 duck decoys, 20 goose floaters, 2 LP heaters and tanks, and 20-30 boxes of shells had all been stolen. In all, it added up to around $2000 stolen right our from under us. We have had the sherrif out to look for evidence but there wasnt much to be had, so we arent holding our hopes very high for these &%*@heads to be caught. Although the decoys would be very noticeable as we had to restring them all with plastic coated wire cable to combat our muskrat problem. I would almost guarantee we are the only people anywhere near us to be using the cable as it cost a good amount.
I absolutely cannot fathom what would drive people to do this. This took an incredible amount of work to wade out into the water(they didnt have a boat), get all the decoys, and carry all this stuff back to their pickup. It had to be a pickup, the amount of stuff they took wouldve been a pickupload. The only reason they didnt clean us out was probably becuase they couldnt take any more stuff.

Keep your eyes peeled locally and on Ebay. I hope you had that stuff insured. Some people are just plain worthless and can't go out in this world and be productive so they stoop to that low of an activity and rob from those of us who are being productive. I hope you guys find those bastards. I know how much work you guys must have went through to restring all those decoys and the $$$ you spent also. Did you guys have and markings on um' that are more identifiable than the chord, I put my initials on all my decoys.
Good luck finding them though.

That's cold man. Up here in the IL north zone you can't leave anything out in the blind. It makes for a HUGE production every morning and evening.

Man that sure does suck really bad. People who do that kind of bull#$%^ are the most pathetic people in the world. Im sorry to hear about this. I remember last hunting season when Tim and Hunter Grounds pit blind was broken into and severl Benelli's were taken and all kinds of other stuff including Hunter's lanyard with his first bands on it. I think whoever stole the stuff did return the lanyard if I heard right on flocknockers.

Those Bastards should be hung by their nuts, and shot with 3.5s filled with Rock Salt for the rest of their Pathetic lives, trust me, this is comming from someone that doesnt own 1 Decoy, if i spent my hard earned money on some decoys, and some $#!t head stole them, i would have to buy new ones cause if i ever caught them i would shove the ones they stole directly up their a$$ and then use them for target practice, seriously people like that dont deserve the right to hunt, and worst of all it was prolly some young boys, if it was, is this what the future of or sport holds, a bunch of low life thives not willing to F-in work for what they got, i bust my balls 5 and 1/2 days a week , just so i can have nice calls and Vacation to hunt, luckily my boy buys all the decoys, cause he has two of every Foiles call on the market....but still if someone stole a Band off my lanyard, id make them regret it to the fullest degree, makes me sick, to think if they put the effort that they used into stealin that stuff into makein money they could have prolly afforded to buy what they stole, F-in losers, i hope you catch the bastards and make them pay, lemme know when you do, i got some ideas that will make them think twice about ever entering someone setup ever again....makes me wanna call ADT and get an alarm system installed in our trailer........what ever happend to the good ole days you know.............
