Well i went and bought a patternmaster extended range for my extrema 2 and some winchester supreme 3.5 inch 1 1/2oz BB! And since it was such a nice day out, i patterned it! And well, it didnt go like i hoped it would! Started out @ 40 yards and put 65 pellets on a 30x30 sheet, did that twice, same result the second time! So i moved back to 60 yards! Thats where it fell apart! Shot 2 times, first time put 30 pellets on the paper, 2nd time 29 pellets on the paper! Never really patterned a shotgun before, so is this good, or what? Thanks in advanced!

i dont think its too bad but are you really going to be shooting birds at 60 yards probably not too offten...but dont just try those give a few others brands and shot size a test run and find what YOUR gun likes
General rule of thumb 30" circle, 30yds, 80% in the circle.
Still havent figured out all this hype on Pattermasters, shot one three seasons ago and hated every minute of it " loads/shells made no differance whatsoever" Infact dropped all the hype with the faster payloads after talking with Aubrey from Comp-N-Choke, there recommendations were 1450fps or slower, decided to take a chance. Shot there chokes ever since and found it to be true, slower the shot, better the choke works "as designed" now my kill ratio is up considerably over a factory or plain ext chokes.

Barry I have heard the same is true with the patternmaster, the faster the load the worse the pattern. I always shot winchesters and since I have gotten my patternmaster i shoot remingtons because they pattern better, but Mayer shoots winchesters out of his nova with a PM, depends on the gun brother.

I use to shoot a extended range pattermaster and thought i liked it, but my buddy talked me into trying a Kicks High Flyer and i loved it! The patterns were more consistent and i dropped more ducks with less shells!
