Poly Fatboy Insert???

I just picked up a fatboy from the shop, new. I noticed on the insert what looks like lines from being a molded plastic or poly and not turned acrylic. Is this possible? I always thought that they were turned acrylic and not molded.

from what i know that there only acrylic

I always assumed too, until I saw this one. I'm telling you that these are marks from a mold. This insert was not turned. Its even in the lanyard groove.

The Wood Fatboys do have a poly insert in them

yeah I got a wood fat boy and it has a black poly insert...you can buy the black acrylic insert and they'll run up around $70-$80 I heard.
