I hope I don't offend any of yall that don't use tobacco but I do. I know that dip or chaw can mess up your calls if it gets under the reed etc. So I started using Cope pouches when I'm hunting. I was wonderin, can the tobacco juice itself mess up the call at all (theres no molasses or anythin) or will my SMH and MeatCutter be ok if I continue to do this?

I just wait till the hunt is over. One I cant justify spending all the $$$ for nice calls and then blowing chew through um. Second I cant call for **** if I have a dip in so that kinda kills it to. KillerMillers dad has a couple of calls that are supposed to be clear and they are strait up brown. Kingkilla chews and calls at the same time. Like I said I would just wait, keep your calls in good condition.

I have a newly acquired issue. I used to chew a half a can each morning while hunting and blew my calls fine. Now whenever I throw a dip in my calling sounds funny. So far this year I have not chewed and called at the same time and it sucks but i would rather have my calling sound good than to have a fat dip in my lip.

i dont call unless i have a chew in. in fact, i usually dont clean it out for days or weeks at a time. i've never had a problem.

Ive had the same problem, when i was learning to call i always had a chew in. If i take it out and then try a nd call, it just sounds weird at times.

been dippin a long time, never had any problems. That usually when the
birds show up anyhow as soon as you stand up to pee or put in a fresh dip.

i chew all the time and blow calls with a dip in and i know sometimes you will get some tobaccy in there but if it starts to stick or anything ill just pull the barrel off and blow on the reeds, and then normal once a week i will run warm water through my calls to keep them clean, im sure some of you boys can relate to this you might not see anything for like an hour and once you put that dip in them birds start flying, dipping is like a good luck charm when i hunt anything
