I am picking up a new blind wed. I always hear people talk about mudding their blinds, how important is it?

Very important. You need to do it because the fabric that the blinds are made of have a sheen and the mudding takes away the sheen, the birds will see the sheen and flare. It really helps your blind blend into the feild your hunting. Some guys use the dirt from the feild that they hunt but i think as long as its in the ballpark your alright.

It is important but if you dont have the time to do so make sure your blind is COVERED all the way. I just got a new blind last month and havent had time to mudd it, hard to do it in a townhome. But I havent hunted out of it much, we are just starting to get into the field hunting now, the first couple of months here was slow, but it is pickin up.

I mudded my layout and my dog blind. Nothing to it, just a little messy. With all the rain we've had lately, mud should not be hard to find. It does make a difference in the look of the blinds though.

It's really made a difference as to how much stubble I have to add to the blind. After I mudded my blind up, I was able to get a much more natural look, and with a lot less stubble attached.
