i really like the death whistle it has decent volume and good rasp to it. the best way though is to go to a foiles dealer and try em yourself. everyone blows a call a little different so see which one fits you best.

I like the Smokin Double I think it ranks up there with the DMM
Can anyone compare the Smokin' Double to the Death Whistle for me?
I just picked up a death whistle in a dr and have never blown a Smokin' double, so I don't know what to compare it to.

To me, the Smokin Double is an Acrylic version of the Death Whistle. A little louder, a little more crisp. If that makes sense.
Make sense to me!
So how about this Greg, which would you say would be louder?
All Wood Smokin Double
Or
Wood/Poly Death Whistle

All wood Smokin double is a great meat call, definitely going to give you a little more volume than the DW.

i blew the smokin double for the first time this weekend and i really liked it id complare it pretty close to the TR with some of the DMM volume...im waiting of my death whistle and yes i will be posting a soundfile when i do!!!
Sounds like I made the right choice then, I didn't want a loud call, so quieter the better

i don't know how loud of a call anyone would want, mine was money on saginaw bay in november and 20-30 mph winds in nebraska....wings cupped and gear down
