Field of Dreams (Iowa) Part 2

Well boys, the crew headed out again Wednesday morning to the same cornfield. Results were kinda the opposite, limit of ducks and not geese. We shot into one group of geeset that were right on the deck, but I got excited and called the shot a few seconds early. :oops: :evil: :cry: 9 shots went off and one bird fell, iowamigr8tor reaching out and touching one with his last shot. Shoulda shot at 2 other groups that kept circling that wouldn't come in, but didnt. We didnt do so well on drakes...it seemed like every time we pulled up to shoot the ducks in the kill hole, there would be only one drake if any. 6 nice greenheads 8) and 6 susies!

Im sure you know the order of us by now :lol: ..........

Yeah its awesome shooting mallards in fields. They just suck right up, big flocks or small. Its never like that on water.

nice work fellas im takin a 3 day hiatus from the ducks and geese and goin after the deer but after last year im gonna try and kill out first season this year instead of waiting.

Im thinking bout taking a year long Hiatus from deer. Last year I cut down alot and just shotgun hunted. This is the first year that I know of that our season will stay open till January. Deer hunting just fell in between the seasons. I kinda want to go take one with my muzzelloader though, but we have soo much deer in the freezer that my dad isnt going to go hunting this year, or at least thats what he says.

PM sent Mauler and yeah i agree.........I hope we have some more pics to put up next week. Im thinking about saving all of the kills from the rest of the season and making a huge picture post on here. It should be awesome!
