Just wondering if anyone has used them in the field and how they have held up? I know everyone is going to say to go to bigfoots but i dont have the money for them. I want to hear the negatives and positives..

im not going to say bigfoots at all..i love GHG they are awesome and no they arent as tough as bigfoots but when they break you just repair them its not so bad....the paint is usually the only thing to go on GHG's why i dont know but they are things you can do to stop that from happening, i.e. put them in a "pillow case" and then put them in bags...but you are going to want to bag them...it will prolong the life of them big time...i was you id get them!

The 8 dozen Pro grades that I have are kept in the six slot bags, with bagging them you still get a lot of paint removal from them being put in the bags.Unless you want to double bag the Pro grades you will still have paint issues. My Bigfeet have never been bagged and they are a lot older decoys , look a hell of alot better than the GHG's.
If your looking for a decoy that you dont really need to baby,I would just go with the BF's and kill some birds.

I agree with Drake, my pro grades have always been bagged and they are beat up bad in the paint department. They seem to be a little brittle when its below zero too.

the ones in the pictures above are hunters series youre asking about pro grades and with my experience with hunter series and pro grades i would say that the pros hold up better as far as paint goes. bigfoots are more durable without question and you dont have to bag them but lets face it bigfoots are ugly compared to the attention to detail progrades. just my opinion

I've had hunter series for over 4 years and they have held up fine. There are people who have problems with theirs and people who don't. It's your luck by how you store them and etc. I now use FFD's and like them, pro grades are great too.

Get bigfoots or dakotas. most durable and bigfoots are just as cheap as pro grades

I have 2.5 dozen of lessers and the honkers and the paint is the worst part but I like the motion system and if you put them in a pillow case they will stay in shape for a long time

i seem too find too much motion scares geese! The motion system is mainly for shelf appeal too me! i think that mixing a dozen or 2 to my big foot spread does tend too help but watch how many you do put as there can be too much motion

new pro grades dont have foot bases, so you wont have to worry about them breaking anyway, but i had some hunters series for a few years without any problems even close to that, just take care of your stuff and that wont happen

you ass, I was just asking a question (it wasn't smartass), because they looked more like Hunter Series to me.. The feet has nothing to do it, my hunter series have these reel feet bases. I posted a couple pics to show the difference and there were big differences. And the ones you have looks more like Hunter Series and everyone is saying the same thing. I didn't say you don't know your ****.

...I agree with gunner it looks like you just throw your **** in your trailer. the only reason they look like **** is cuz you treat them like **** and without care. I couldnt spend all that money on dekes and treat them like ****. Just my opinion.

look how the decoys are placed in the trailer. You wonder why there chipped if you take care of them you wouldn't have a problem with them. Avery does make decoy bags, maybe you should buy some. I havent had a problem with the pro grades.

thats a storage shed the dekes fell apart before they were in that shed. they were used about 6 times the season before, after sittin in a blind all summer you could rub your hand across them and the paint would fall off. and for that kind of money I am not gonna spen an extra $100 on some bags when they should be reliable enough. also there are 6 or 7 dozen in that pic and only had problems with 2 dozen.

Ive never had a problem with my bigfoots and I kick them across fields all the time. Ive dropped them out of trucks at 80 mph other than a scratch or 2 theres nothing wrong. let me see you do that with avery crap

avery suggests that you buy bags and sloted bags from them to help make there crap last longer.

i wish i was smart enough to come up with that marketing plan.

i have duck decoys(floaters) where the paint was comeing off in the box it was shipped in. i have had broken heads on my goose shell decoys and they will not ship me any new heads with out me buying them. however i have had good luck with the full body mallards and shells allthough the heads are a pain in the neck. the over size goose floaters heads are absolute junk. the life size are a little better but i have had two heads break off just picking them up. the paint on the life size has held up ok.
