Season Lenghts?

Just curious about the differant waterfowl seasons where y'all are from, because some of you mention your season is closed already. The season in Idaho is October 15th- January 27th. Our bag limit is 7 ducks and 4 geese.

In Delaware ours is over on the 21st. Snows go a little longer March 10. 6 ducks and 2 canadas in the regular season.

I live in carrollton IL which is the central zone here and we have an early goose season that runs sept 1-15. then we have teal only season in sept 10-18. then full duck season runs Oct. 29 - Dec. 27. goose season is Oct. 29 - Nov. 6 then again from Nov. 16 - Jan. 31. Our bag limit is 6 ducks and 2 geese for season. teal season is 4 teal. early goose is still 2.
they closed goose down early here because the quota was met. northern is closed as well still open in the south though.

in iowa ducks-sept 17-21, oct 15- dec 18, and goose is sept 1-15, oct 1-9, oct 15- dec 8, and dec 15 - jan 28. somthing like that.

i heard where i am from (illinois) they are going to extend the season and they are thinking about raising the limit and quota next year.......

I wouldn't count on that season change or limit change. That stuff is regulated by the feds, and I don't see them allowing it anytime soon.

If they do change it it will not be untill after the spring counts, the state can't exceed federal limits but can set the limit lower.

im minnesota goose is sept3- like 20 somthin, limit 5, then again oct1-nov29 limit 2, then again dec 10-20 i think. duck was oct 1-nov 29 limit 4 :cry: but thats changing for next year i think.

Here in Colorado Nov 19-Feb 12 daily limit 3 possession limit 6 on canadians, Snow's- 20 light geese daily with unlimited possession limit.

in maryland it goes till jan 28th
