what do you people think of the boom and bust with home prices? how bad has it affected your area? I've seen some homes
in crappy neighborhoods spike up two to three times in value about a year or so ago...

it is horrible in my area right now. We have had our house on the market for 5 months and shown it 3 times. :? Now, I blame the realtor to a certain extent. Its about time to change I think. We have plans to build, the land to do it just waiting to sell. Very frustrating! The market has got to change here at some point, contractors are sitting on real estate for months and months. Many are in a real bind financially that were making a killing 2 years ago. There are something like 2500-3000 empty new never lived in homes in Columbia, Mo. right now. that is 20 min. from me and everywhere you look land is being cleared and a new subdivision being developed. I can't understand it. Something is gonna have to give and soon. :roll:
