OK guys i know i will probablly get a mixed bag of answers on this but When i go goose hunting in my layout blind i try to make my blind covered and blend as well as possible. Sometimes in a standing grass field i cover it completly. I am not big on goose hunting so i just kinda do what everyone else does. Most of the time the guys i hunt with will cover them up fully. I was told today that we should just cover them up enough to break up the outline since most fields we hunt we don't dig a small hole to hide in better(even though i would like to). What do you guys think is the better thing to do.

I cover mine completely try to make it blend in as good as possible to what your hunting in.The better you hide the less they can pick out.

My theory is that every situation is different, look at your surrounding's, "adapt and conquer", the element of surprise is an awesome deal

Ive been told both ways, cover completly and to only put the necessary. Bottom line you dont want it to look like a mound out in the middle of the field. I cover my blind up so when you walk back and look at every angle it just looks like part of the row of corn or whatever I'm in. Cover to the surroundings.

i agree with everyones posts ,make your blind look natural to your surroundings, corn , hay, soy feilds, add more or less to make it look like it was always there

Just remember that more is not always better. If bare ground is visible in the field you are hunting, be sure to leave some open spaces on your blind. This will help to break up your outline, and keep from looking like a "lump".
