I know the last day of duck season, today, here was a wet one! Still got birds though. It sure would be nice if our season would last long enough for the migration. Still had a good season!

I feel for you guys, we still have 2 months of waterfowl season left. Gotta love being able to hunt 107 days.
Got the trailer packed, even made 60 more FA fullbodies into motion decoys today. Cut the footbase off and left part of the legs, then drilled a 2 and 1/2 inch hole in the bottom and a small one on top, they now have motion stakes.. The blinds are all in a pile setup and ready to drop out into the fresh powder. The truck is PACKED with extra warm clothes and ammo. The kids and I are READY!!!
We had fun lastweekend but the Migration should be ON... I know I'm ready to see some Big ducks and Mr. Blackfeet lookout!

This very well could be out of control. I am a little scared for the waterfowl; but then again they have had it coming for a long time.

I really hate Minnesota hunting seasons. They're too short and the limits are the lowest in the contry. But, I guess that is what we get for being part of the beginning of the migration. Although, Canada has a much bigger impact on the population than we do.
Oh well, at least we can hunt!!!!!!!

i have to agree with the sarge 100% on this one, its time to pack up the trailer and the boats and head down south with the migration and where the seasons are longer or just starting

If I could afford the traveling I'd be on the road also. Maybe next season I can get some traveling in. Be fun to hit the fields with the Iowa boys. And maybe other states too. We'll see......
Enjoy the Mallards that made it through MN. If all works out, I don't plan on letting many Geese through!!!!!!!!

Minnesota boys, I don't mean to rub it in or anything but we found a cornfield tonight that had about 1,000 mallards in it!!! :D Finally chased the owner down and he said have at it!! So me, Iowamigr8tor, Jclasen 0124, another buddy, and maybe kingkilla are headed out around 2 tomorrow evening. If the birds don't leave tomorrow during the day, it should be a heck of a shoot. I'm crossing my fingers that they dont leave....I never thought I would be wishing that the educated birds stay here  Just for one more day...then bring on the dumb new birds!!

killer miller, essentally the birds arent really educated yet cause no one has hunted them, until tommorrow. hehehehe :D . but typically the birds wont move out tommorrow cause the refuge isnt frozen over yet.
That forecast makes me wanna touch myself
