Figure around $450 a dozen for Dakotas.
$440ish for 2 harvester packs of the FFDs. With bags. For instant protection of the flocking.
Are the harvester pacs six a pice or twelve.

GHG harvester packs are 6 decoys a pack.
GHG FFD lessers are a great decoy, they kill 12lb birds just as well as 2 lb birds. They store easier and are easier to pack than fullsize decoys.
I used them, was impressed with their durability, and can honestly say that they worked great, finishing birds confidently.
I haven't had a chance to hunt over dakotas, I would like to though, the word around the hunting communities is that they work very well.
Next year I'll be running the high buck DSD, if they don't prove themselves to me, my next spread may very well be Dakotas.

I dont think either is better than the other they both are responsible for many goose deaths each year..to tell ya the truth i personally like the dakotas mixed with other dekes...to me the ripples in the dakotas body appear to be a large greater dominant honkers and the other brand dekes are just other geese in the flock..but any brand decoy will kill geese if your in the right spot in my opinion...but im not a foiles pro-staffer and its just my 2 cents

dont get me wrong the dakotas are good decoys but i think that they look to beefed up like a goose on steroids. but then i am a ghg man my self i think there decoys are awesome besides the fact that the paint could be better, but like it was said before they all kill geese if your in the right spot.
just a side note: Bigfoots look like crap, but they probably work too, i just think they could look alot better.
just my 2 cents

Do your research on each decoy company and decide for yourself how much you would like to spend. Talk to lots of people who you know that hunt and see what they think of them. A little bit of research goes along way. Hope this helps. :)

I have run almost every decoy on the market, last year we switched to Dakotas and they hold up. 5 dozen floaters, 60 days of rough open water hunting and they look brand new. They ride the water better than anything, for a plastic decoy. As far as the field decoys, we are tough on our gear and we dont spend the time to bag'em and baby them. Its about gettin clients their limits and gettin out the field to do it again the next morning. These decoys are tough and we kill birds day in and day out. No stupid stakes and bases to put together its grab and go. Plus look at the guarntee that you get where you buy Dakotas, who else does that.

Our GHG decoys are nice. They look good but Dakotas look really good. But Hardcores are amazing :)

Jeff runs all Big Foot decoys. Ducks and geese. He said he should have never changed to begin with. Look at the pics. from WW5. Those are all Jeff's decoys.

I use mostly GHG decoys. Mainly because of what I can afford aka what my wife will let me spend, they are great decoys for the price. Like it was said earlier compare all the decoys you can there are a lot to choose from. I like to actually see the decoys before I buy them, looking at a picture doesn't always help. Most stores have online reviews of products that they sell. They seem to be very helpfull.

There were 5 or 6 Fa's in there. I believe they were Jeffs'. The 4 Dakotas were in there at the north end of the pond. But the other 5 dozen were Jeff's and they were BF's.

Somebody should have kept their 2 cents in their pocket. You cant beat a BF, now way no how.

Dakotas don't need bags. Bags for Dakotas are basically for carrying in;) I'll spend the money on durability;)
All the decoys on the market will kill birds! It's just a matter of what you want. I choose DD cause of the durability, look and a solid base in the wind.
Steroids?! Nah, just realism;)

there should be a section on this forum called ask the non-staffers so the people that ask the questions about decoys and calls get straight answers from people that arent working for a certain company. Dakotas are fine but when someone says a certain brand is better its more meaningfull coming from someone who doesnt get paid to say it or in some cases just a grupie with a title that makes little money to promote a company that makes millions

Realism? I have yet to see a canada goose that has a 3 foot body width and side pockets I could put a loaf of bread in...on each side. I think they look alright but nothing to get all worked up about. I havent hunted with em, Im sure they kill geese.
