Competition calling

I have been thinking about it for years and i want to get started in competition calling. I have good experience with short reeds. I am just wonder what a good call would be to use for competition calling or what other people have had success with. Pros and cons? Thanks for any help

Your HPH would work fine but alot of guys use the Showtime

I recently entered my first contest and it was a blast. I would just blow the call you are most comfortable with. Something with some volume and crispness. I blew a wood barreled SMH in my first meat contest, it did not have the volume everybody else had but it was just what I was most comfortable blowing which I think is important for someone stating out. Good Luck and once you get up there once, I think you will do it again.
