View Full Version : Bill of NON_RIGHTS

I got this as an e-mail and I thought I would share it with everyone.
The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Aye from GA. This guy should run for President one day...
"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other bed-wetters.
We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."
ARTICLE I:
You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but No one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II:
You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is Based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; But the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III:
You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool Manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV:
You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the Creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one is my pet peeve...get an education and go to work .. don't expect everyone else to take care of you!)
ARTICLE V:
You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI:
You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII:
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII:
You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)
ARTICLE IX:
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X:
This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from!
(lastly....)
ARTICLE XI:
You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!!!!
If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't. I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States speak out because if you do not, who will?

This is the type of post that creates bickering and arguing on the net.
It is when people make statements as facts that in-fact are not facts that fire people up.
I have learned not to fall into this negative trap.
You most likely will not change what you believe even if others give you facts.
Lets keep this a the positive good hunting chat room it is and leave this type of political stuff out of here so we can enjoy our common interest.

It is not a trap of any nature and personally I didn't think any of the Hunters on this site would disagree with anything in that post. It was just a simple post being shared. The people that like it great, the people that don't, well thats there right to. This is America.

Here is from a Shawn Hannity website:
Mother Jones Article:
The Great Debate of Our Season
“The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the
Christian Religion.”
THOSE WORDS, PENNED IN ARTICLE 11 of the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, are assuccinct a statement as we have from the Founding Fathers on the role of religion in our government. Their authorship is ascribed variously to George Washington, under whom the treaty was negotiated, or to John Adams, under whom it took effect, or sometimes to Joel Barlow, U.S. consul to Algiers, friend of Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine, and himself no stranger to the religious ferment of the era, having served as a chaplain in the Revolutionary Army. But the validity of the document transcends its authorship for a simple reason: it was ratified. It was debated in the U.S. Senate and signed into law by President Adams without a breath of controversy or complaint concerning its secular language, and so stands today as an official description of the founders’ intent.

By the way. I was on warfare as a kid. My father is a alcoholic and went to Hazelton for 3 months.
Do you think our government should not have help my (broke) mother and 5 sister out?
My father returned to our home, sober, and retired at 53 years old on his own retirement nothing government or union funded.
20 years from dead broke to a self funded retirement program taxes paid.
That 3 months of welfare changed all of our lives for the better without it my father most likely would not have gotten help and I would have remained in a home with a drinking alcoholic.
You want to get rid of that welfare. I believe in controlled welfare I do not believe in chronic welfare.
I hope that typical politician never gets a chance to run for office. He is just spouting off to get votes.
I my friend am willing to help others out with taxes and my own donations.
I could go through and refute 90% of what that guy said if you want to. Or would rather stick to hunting?

You, unfortunately, are the exception not the rule. I am glad that you used your position in life to better yourself and not take advantage of the working class people.
As far as refuting 90% of that post, Like I stated previously, this is AMERICA, do what you feel is right.
As for me, I will just sit here and thank GOD for living somewhere that I can sit at my computer and have this debate with someone.

So if you bring your kid to library and someone is smoking pot and shooting up heroin then goes and takes a big dump in the room this guy wants us not to be offended just leave? Sounds like you and this guy want to live in a third world country
Lets say you are out goose hunting in a field and the PETA freaks show up. They start disrupting your hunt, your not suppose to get offended just leave? Not me I like our laws protecting us from others who want to change us and git rid of hunting.

So you think manufactures and food processors should just make what they want and not tell us what is in the food or product they produce? You want guns where the safety may or may not work? Shoot a buddy with a bad gun and no one is at fault? I like how we have safe guns do you?
I hope this helps you see this guy is clueless

You probably think then that it is also the fault of Big Tobacco for people getting cancer. How about the guns being at fault for people getting shot? Where do you stand on that one?
You are not Guaranteed to succeed. You get out of life what you are willing to put into it. If you want to be a lazy ass and not work for anything then the only thing you are guaranteed is to be fat and worthless. Its no different than hunting, you do your scouting and driving around, study the patterns of the animals you are hunting, really put your time in and you can be succesful. If you sit around the house watching hunting on TV and decide to go sit in a field somewhere you probably are not going to succeed. You really need to read the posts for what they are, not what you think you want them to be. Not everyone is out to get you, knock the chip off your shoulder and learn to have fun. I thought you said you would not let yourself be trapped by a post such as this, looks like you were wrong again. Lets just agree to disagree and go on about our day. You will never see my side and I will not see yours.
Not trying to piss you off, good luck with the rest of your season.

DHP
Seems you are on a spin mission now. I said faulty gun safeties not working.
I do not blame guns for shooting people, thats like blaming your pencil for misspelled words IMO.
If I bought a gun and the the safety did not work and the gun fired a shot on its own and killed my son while hunting I would think the gun manufacture would be somewhat responsible. I can respect your decision to not hold them liable.

Yes, fortunately there are exceptions and success stories. That goes with any law and every rule.
Unfortunately there are also a minimum 4 sides to this story.
Those that need the help and can't get it.
Those that get the help that don't need it.
Those that get the help and abuse it.
Those that get the help, and use it as it was intended, then contribute back to society.
You have your side and that directly effects the way you view things. I have your similar views. And anyone with any agenda can disprove and take anything anyone says and twist it however they need to make it fit their own.
Now, let me share my story.
My ex wife had an affair. She, with my son, moved in with the guy and the 5 other members of his family. (7 people living in a 4 bedroom house.) She stopped working, claimed her self as an only parent and drew welfare and other forms of support.
All the while she was getting child support at a rate that lets just say covered a 20,000 loan. She left me with all the debt and took 3/4 of the property. She bought and is driving a 2006 Honda Pilot. Her boyfriend who never got out of his parents house drives a FORD F250. They take their jet ski and camper to the lake every weekend. 3 years later they are still living with his parents and are building a new house.
Now, I don't want a pity party and did not state this for that reason. Life events determine how people view things. Seeing through those life events is what sets people apart.
Please don't take me wrong. I am all for helping people that need the help and are willing to use it the way it is needed.
The problem I have is I know there are families that need the help, because they slip through cracks and the such and are not receiving it. Yet people like I mentioned are taking full advantage of it, when they need it the least.
Now, can we get back to the carnage?

Nothing wrong with a little politics....I enjoyed the the post and he debate...I think you fellas both agree...helping people is fine....carrying deadweight or subsidizing a lifetime of slackers and sponges is not good...didn't they impose a shorter time for people to stay on welfare without gainfull employement?

I think what gets me going is when these blow hard politicians get the masses to think like them and agree with them.
I ask a lot of my friends this question and to answer it with either good or bad.
OK the word is Flip Flop
Good or Bad?
Scroll down for more
Most people say bad Flip Flop is bad.
Then I ask them if you find you girlfriend or wife in bed with another dude are you going to think the same of her or FLIP FLOP on how you feel towards her?
Well FLIP FlOPPing to me shows me that someone can get information reprocess it and change course. In other words that person can reason or has the ability to reason.
Relate that to hunting do you ever flip flop what you are doing while hunting?
We do in fact we had to tonight and guess what.
It worked we got some shots at birds after we flip flopped.
Point is do not let the scum bag politician control your thoughts, minds, or use you to be their sound bag.

It doesn't seem like the pot is boiling. Some feel strongly on certain subjects. Politics is, like this thread, going to be debated and i would call this more of a debated thread on ones political thoughts more than an argument on who is right and who is wrong....we could be here forever and never come to terms on all of it. In my own right i think that politics really sucks now adays. Everyone is looking for someone to blame. I am a registered Rep. and I am not at all surprised they lost maj. Why do people lose their jobs? usually its because you werent doing your job correctly. Now that just my opinion. I dont want to ramble and babble but......all we have to remember is why we are really on this site.......To shoot the S**T about ducks and geese :) .

In my opinion, the republicans lost majority not because the democrats were necessarily better options. They lost because they gave us nothing to vote for.

I am a registered Republican and I did not vote for any last election because of their out of control spending = future taxes.
It is odd the Dems no longer represent the working man and,
The republicans spend more then Dems and this leads to higher taxes in the future :x

They are just getting to happy with their budget increases and spending potential. Like you said...........who pays, not them. We do.
