I'm 19 years old and have been shooting ducks and geese since I was 11 years old. We had a banner year here in Iowa if you ask me. I am estimating that I shot around 70 ducks(lots of greenheads) and around 30 geese (5 banded), give or take a few. Last year was really weird. It was like the birds never came. I probably only shot about 25 ducks and I think 16 geese. It depends how much I hunt too. This year, I had a boat so I could hunt up around central Iowa, where as in years before, I pretty much on ly hunted at my dad's house on the Mississippi River (Ft. Madison). How about you?

It's hard to say. So far me and the group I hunt with have killed close to 1700 so far this year. About 1500 of those in AR and the rest in ND and Idaho.

sorry abot the late reply i normally get between 200 to 300 ducks and 50+ geese with the guys i hunt with in a season we average about 500 to 600 birds all up

My partner and I shot 207 ducks and 110 geese this season, just the 2 of us in Upstate NY. Shot a total of 8 banded birds. Not a bad season, hoping to do better next season though.

Same here Ducksmasher. Always room for improvement. The birds just gotta come through right. I work about 25 hours a week and am at college full time. I dont get out as much as I would like to. Im gonna be able to hunt more next year though.
WOW!! I thought around 100 ducks and geese total was good. Some of you guys really put the hurtin' on 'em dont ya!!! Geees save some for me.

Where i hunt in Delaware is on the big salt marshes. We just got done the regular season and we shot 70 ducks and about 40 canadian honkers, only a few snows so far. We were killinem good until earily December when the ponds, and streams started to unfreeze. Now its time to start after the snows and man is there alot them around.
