there isnt anything other than just blowing the call....the more you blow it the faster it will happen....there are no tricks to doing this

Alot of "hard" calling, spits and hails as hard as you can blow. Dont expect to break them in overnight..........

Some guys use a vaccum or air compressor, but I would not reccommend doing that. You will be much happier if you break them in yourself by blowing the call. It will take a long time, but be patient and keep blowing. It's a good indicator to whether or not you have been practicing enough ;)

If you blow everyday yes... try brians idea i did it once seemed to worked pretty good

to get mine started I warm them up and it makes them softer and do a few minutes of hard hail calls and fast double clucks. It works everytime...

How you doin that? Droppin them in some hot water or soemthing?.....

dont know how long but i blow on my showtime everyday since january and there isn't a scratch in them

ive broken in guts in 2 months before....the key is to blow hard long notes..once you break that surface it goes really fast

You mean

"blow hard long notes" = blowing loud & long honks or moans

Or

"blow hard long notes" = just blowing loud for as much as you can

Just put an un shaved reed in your call and blow the thing every chance you get. The stiffer reed will break the guts in pretty quick and help you develop some lungs as well. Time behind the call is key. The more you use the call the more power you will develop and the deeper the grooves in your guts will get.

im talking about hail calls....moans...also do some double clucks as fast as you possibly can....and yes ust as KCK said the unshaved reed helps alot also
