Just love this video. Full of teaching and awesome footage. Just gotta love birds being watsed on the television screen. What are you guys shooting with to hit the birds that hard? Anyone using a Pattrenmaster choke tube? Are the others tubes with the ports as good or should I buy a Pattern master?
Need feedback............

I gotta Patternmaster in my Browning Gold....and it took me about all year to get use to it because the pattern is so tight....hopefully i will get use to it by next year so the few times that i will get to go next year i can go back to shooting like i use too....seriously tho the patterns are rediculas....if your shooting birds over the decoys go with a Briley Light Modified.....talk to killer miller....hes kicked the crap outta em this year over the decoys and some fairly long shots with that light mod.....

hey king did you ever figure out what was up with your patterns from your briley? or have you re-patterned it yet with some different loads?

Cabela's sells the briley tubes. I will have to pick up a copy of the video. It might be just what I need as I make the switch to Short reeds.

iwawaterfowler88. i patterned it but i think that i need 22 in. targets insted of 12 in. targets, and i also need a shooting rest like a table. It sucked though because it was during the cold spell, and i just froze shooting my gun.

Pattern Master (http://foilesstraitmeat.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=23) I am not sure what chokes they are using but I do know Jeff sells paternmasters online in his store.

From what I can see in Fallen Skys and Fallen Skys 2 they are using patternmasters. I had a patternmaster for my beretta but somthing was wrong and the tubes would expand in my barrell and wouldn't come out. I think it is a rare problem, contacted Patternmaster and they said they may need to take more measurments? Went through two tubes and then gave up for this year. I'll try one again next year. From the little I shot them they really had a great pattern and could reach out and grab those birds that were out there a ways.

Every gun is diffrent as well as amao. What works best for me and the super black eagle. Winchester #2 shot 3 1/2 with and improved choke. I shoot many Geese over a season and have no problem killing them at 50 yards. If a duck comes in I just pick up the gun and shoot. I have been using this method for 3 years.
Hope this helps.

Tried a Patternmaster and a Briley in my Bennelli and niether one was as good as the Steel MOd. choke that came with it. I think I will use those 2 chokes as decoy anchors.

i got a briley light mod and it has been put to work wacken these geese. well worth the money. Oscar99 those are 2 expensive decoy anchors. about $130 bucks worth of decoy anchors.

It sure looked like it worked today and Saturday!!!!! Awsome hunt! except the birds really wouldn't suck it up and commit to the decoys.

I havent taken my briley light modified out of my barrel all season (except to clean my barrel). Have shot lots of teal and all other ducks and pheasants and tons of honkers. I havent patterned it but it seems to shoot all sizes of steel through it quite well. I havent crippled near as many birds as I have in past years. Just my opinion.

i think briley and patternmaster are both great choke tubes. patternmaster is tight, and may take some getting used to but i am not the BEST shot in the world, and i have still shot my limit everyday for the past three days, so when people tell you its too tight, dont necessary listen to them, its different for every gun/shell/ shooter.. but like i said, no pro here..and ive folded a few w. the patternmaster. i shoot:

Benelli Super Black Eagle
Patternmaster
Winchester High Violocity, BB/#2...

hope this helps

Great insrtuctional advice. I thought I had all the calls down, but I learned several new techniques and I havent even watched the whole thing yet. I watched part of Iowamigra8tor's 2.0 and need to watch it all and practice while watching it on the big screen.

I use a patternmaster I like it a lot for close range and long range it is very effictive I think it has alot of penetration power as well
