i might be wrong but i would tend to think the higher the better due to the fact you could hide better. but that bein said it cant be too tall that they cant see the decoys so you gotta kinda find that in between.

generally we only hunt the feilds after there cut ,corn, soy ,hay, alfalfa around 3-6"and use the taller stuff from the fence rows to cover our blinds

We usually hunt out of pits so it doesnt really matter as far as concelment goes but i would say 6-12" as a good rule of thumb

When hunting grass fields, i've found that shorter is better. Five inches or less is ideal.

shorter the better, geese & ducks can see approaching predators better, land & take off better, higher stubble beats up there wings tugh for them to land & take off, lower cut is easy for them birds to feed also, tougher for a person to hide but if the birds are there you will find a way

Yeah I agree. I hunt a grass runway for a better part of the season and it is the best right after they cut it, which makes it about 2-4 inches tall. As far as the blinds are concerned I have no problem hiding from geese in this amout of grass. Given we have to get out there an extra half hour to 45 minutes earlier than usuall, but completely covering the blind with freshm green grass every time makes a huge difference.
