how many canada decoys do u guys use for late season?? spesify what position and shell, full, or if on water also

generally the more the better, full body's sillouttes,shells for the feild,if we have any pot holes then we use some floaters also

We've been using about 5 dozen full body, and about 6 dozen shells. Like always "FLOCKED" heads up front "FILLERS" in the rear. We also flag a lot! "The Band" consists of 2 Meat Cutters and my almighty SMH!

as many as possible late season is when we pull out all the stops we really like to use shells in the late season with sleeper heads

we usually try to use the same number of decoys fro the same number of birds around. but later in the year we put out as many as possible, but i hear that you should slim down your spread later in the year cause everyone usually runs big spreads, so its a little different change of pace for the birds.

here lately we been runnin about 5 dozen between muntz's dekes and one of the others in the group. ive killed geese over 5 dozen and 2 dozen sometimes it just kinda depends i guess.

i am running 5 to 7 dozen, mixed silos-fullbodies-shell, & flag

I usually use about 2-3 dozen shell and maybe about 6 full bodies becuase most of the birds are laying down in the fields once it snows or get cold. I would say do some scouting and check out wha the birds are doing in your area.

Im gonna have to go with 8 not 8dozen just 8, call me ignorant, but im looking for the small groups here, not breaking down flocks of migrators, 6 feeders and 2 high actives, six heads down and 2 heads up learned this from Ron from FA, noting like getting a flock to come in to 8 dekes, when you have a huge spread the birds can land anywhere, to the left to the right, but when your laying in the middle of an 8 bird spread they land right in your face usually in the 15-20 yard range.....gonna give it a shot on Tuesday, been seeing a lot of small groups of birds on the ground usually about 10-15 birds so should be an experience....

we use about 250 decoys. about 3/4 are shells and 1/4 are fullbodys. and about 2 dz filler homemade silo's works great in late season. usually kill our limit everyday of late season.
