I’ve got some older FA Eliminator full bodies that I’m looking to flock but have never flocked an entire decoy. I know flocking the head is pretty straight forward but have questions about flocking the body. I’ve read through the old posts but can’t really find any detailed instructions on this….
1. I plan on using “fowlflocker.com” to get the supplies but what colors do you guys suggest? Do you just use tan or multiple colors to create the feathered detail?
2. Do you skip the “feathered detail” idea and flock them all tan and highlight with a brush & touch up paint?
3. MOST IMPORTANTLY----- IS THIS GOING TO BE WORTH MY TIME??
Any suggestions will help guys with the exception of buying new FFD’s!!! Thanks for your help…

Ive never flocked entires bodies before only heads. Just the heads are VERY time comsuming. For the time you are gonna invest your better off taking up taxidery and making your own stuffed honkers. If you do decide to do it make sure when u get the flocking to make sure it is really really fine with no small clumps. Otherise when you apply the flocking you with have small clumps that will either fall off before the adhesive drys or after the first gentle rub on it.

Thanks for your help legband. Think I'm going to purchase the smallest kit and give it a shot. Thought about flocking the entire decoy 1 light color and highlight with airbrushing on the darker color to try and get the feathered detail. Guess we'll see what happens.

If your going to start flocking entire bodies i would just go to a hobby lobby or any craft type store you can get flocking cheaper at those type of places. Then just use flat rustoleum for your adhesive and just sprinkle whatever color flocking on and like i said before make sure the clumps are broken up and make sure you dont get stingy on the adhesive, use plenty. Then push the flocking gently into the adhesive with your fingers so it stays on
