I have about 300 dollars right now and want to buy a goose and a duck call. I was think a double reed SMM in flouresent and the SMH in ivory/black. Any bad things about the flouresent color such as ducks seeing it or something???

I dont think so or thay would not still be producing these colored calls

I have HS single and double reed calls in electric blue and a bright green that I have used for years and havent had any trouble

Get yourself a DMM, the SMM is a great call, but that new DMM is deadly, the way i figure it, if the birds are close enough to see what color you call is, you shoulda pulled the trigger long time ago, same with geese, if these calls Flared birds that bad you think the woulda taken them off the market, but my advice to you would be to go to your local sporting goods store, try every call, Foiles or not, and see what you like the best or whats easier for you, i like cabelas cause before i knew what i was doing i would have the Avery prostaffers tune the calls super light, makes them a whole lot easier to blow and get good sound out of without having to yell into the calls, but Definately pick up a SMH, if you get good on that i would say pick up a MH i love mine and im pretty sure im going to be burried with them when im gone.........lol

I'd say stick with your choices: SHM and double reed SMM. I have both of those calls and love them to death.

If you have your heart set on the SMM then do it up or you'll agonize over it if you get something else. I would also recommend "Callin' Ducks, 2.0" and/or "Callin' Geese, 2.0" DVDs. Great tutorials on how to work those calls. Good luck.
