We invite you to the first ever Fowl University Duck and Goose Calling Contest. This contest will be a two day event held June 27th and 28th in Brookings, South Dakota. The contest will take place at the Brookings Gun Club two miles east on Highway 14 from Brookings. Contests will start at 9:00 am on Saturday.
The following events are scheduled for the weekend:
1. Saturday
a. Youth Duck 9 am
i. 2 divisions
1. Junior- 12 years old or under
2. Intermediate- 13 to 16 years old
ii. $20 Entry Fee
iii. Cash and Prizes awarded 1st through 3rd place in both divisions
iv. Two 60 second rounds
v. Meat Style Competition
b. Youth Goose 11 am
i. 2 divisions
1. Junior- 12 years old or under
2. Intermediate- 13 to 16 years old
ii. $20 Entry Fee
iii. Cash and Prizes awarded 1st through 3rd place in both divisions
iv. Two 90 second rounds
c. Novice Duck 2 pm
i. Open to anyone that hasn’t placed 3rd or higher in any State, Regional Competition, or Open or won a novice contest
ii. $25 Entry Fee
iii. Cash and Prizes awarded 1st through 3rd place
iv. Three 90 second rounds
v. Main Street Style Competition
d. Novice Goose 4 pm
i. Open to anyone that hasn’t placed 3rd or higher in any State, Regional Competition, or Open or won a novice contest
ii. $25 Entry Fee
iii. Cash and Prizes awarded 1st through 3rd place
iv. Three 90 second rounds
2. Sunday
a. Open Duck (non-sanctioned) 9 am
i. Open to anyone
ii. $35 Entry Fee
iii. Cash and Prizes awarded 1st through 3rd place
iv. Three 90 second rounds
v. Main Street Style Competition
vi. This contest is not sanctioned for the World’s Contest
b. Open Goose 1 pm
i. Open to anyone
ii. $35 Entry Fee
iii. Cash and Prizes awarded 1st through 3rd place
iv. Three 90 second rounds
Following the Open Goose on Sunday the Brookings Gun Club will open the skeet and trap ranges for those that want to bring their shotguns and enjoy a little shooting.
