Went out scouting this morning and saw a bunch of geese pouring into a pond in town...went for a look and managed to find a few bands in the 500 or so birds hanging out around there...thing is that I only could get a close look at about 1/2 of them....and I saw 14 bands!!!

thing is that they leave and go straight to saylorville fuge...then in the morning go feed inside city limits then come to this pond and dick around all day....its BS!!!!

I was just told this on another sight that I missed a band on one of the pictures! How stupid of me! In the second pic, look right of the pointed out band in orange...THERES A BLUE NECK TUBE!!! (blue arrow) his normal banded foot must be the one pulled up underneath of him.....

So I went back into photoshop for a closer look and found even some more bands! (marked with red arrows)

so that makes 15 bands and 2 blue neck tubes....I'm gonna look at some other pictures I took a little more closely....:)

Iowagooser, like iawaterfowler88 said....those birds basically stay in town to feed and everything. Trust me, we aren't killing any of those geese. But I am going to follow them every once in a while, maybe they'll make a mistake and feed in a field I have permission to. If they do, those blue neck tubes will be like bullseyes coming in. :lol:

I was at a Wendy,s fast food joint and saw several geese in the parking lot. A closer look showed them eating french fries people were dropping for them. Not one, not two, not three but five birds out of the twenty or so had double leg bands and red neck bands on. Anyone in the Rochester New York area check it out Wendy's right in front of the gander mountain.
