What's the difference between the two calls?

Depends on how you set them up. First the SMM is a Single reed intended to be used on open water hunting. Where as the the TR comes in either single or double reed and is designed to be used everywhere. The SMM has more of a flare on the instert than the TR has. Both calls are great though. I have a SMM now and have a TR on layaway, both of them sound so ducky that it isn't even funny!

I would highly suggest buying a TR double to add to your lanyard. It's a very versatile call that pulls 'em into your face. You never know what those greenheads are gonna wanna hear from day to day and having the SMM and the TR doubles your chances for success!

A lot of guys will double their lanyards drops by only using one loop per call, instead of one loop on the barrel one on the insert. Makes a 3 drop a 6 and so forth.

LOL in that case i have a 10 drop
I really like the double loop lanyards for the simple fact you dont have to worry about losin half a call. my calls would stick together horribly and it was a pain to get apart until i chap sticked the insert and barrel hole. Now that i have done that they come apart really easy. dunno bout you guys but id hate to lose half of a smm or smh or any call for that matter.
I like my 5 drop double loop but would like to find a 6 drop double does anyone know where to find one???

i also like using both the drops for one call, because i really dont want to loose a $70 mouth piece, or a $70 insert.

Both of the calls are excellent for all situations but when I picked up the TR I feel in love with it.
